
José Armindo de Simas Bettencourt e Abreu Amorim graduated in Civil Engineering in 1994 at Sciences and Technological Faculty from Coimbra University.
In 1994 was an intern at Bento Pedroso Construções S.A., having team leadership and project management roles in this company between 1994 and 1998.
In June 1998 he founded Bettencourt Amorim e Araújo, Desenvolvimento de Projectos, Lda, a commercial private limited company, where has a managing partner.
In 2014 he completed Civil Engineering Master’s degree – Field of Expertise in Materials and Construction Rehabilitation at University of Minho, also has several co-authored publications on national conference papers and scientific journals.
In 2014 started as a researcher in HMIEXCEL and iFACTORY projects, the goal was to develop a pull production system grounded in electronic kanbans at Bosh Car Multimédia Portugal, S.A.
In 2016 he co-founded Gensys, which business core is the development and implementation of Production Planning and Control information systems.
